Job Description:
Develop validation and test plans for complex field programmable
gate arrays (FPGAs). Utilize digital design to develop validation/test plans
for complex networking test equipment. Apply in-depth understanding of
digital electronic packet processing functionalities to develop test
documents. Build and execute test cases and test plans on new and existing
FPGA designs. Collaborate with development, verification, hardware,
manufacturing, ME and QA Engineers, document test results, and release
software/firmware images. Debug FPGA validation issues and maintain validation dashboard
with tracking and indicators. Perform unit level system verification and
regression test sculpting and execution. Leverage understanding of hardware
application and programming analysis as applied to the development of test
documents. Apply advanced understanding of switches, routers and packet flow
technologies. Education & Experience Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical
Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a
related field and one (1) year of experience developing validation test plans for
field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and network test equipment. Or in the alternative: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical
Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a
related field and three (3) years of experience as indicated above. Also requires: 1) Demonstrated expertise performing Quality Assurance testing,
solution development, and feature design analysis to verify and validate
FPGA requirements; 2) Demonstrated expertise leveraging protocol analyzer, packet
generation tools and applying network protocols including, Ethernet, MPLS,
VLAN , TCP/IP networking, HTTP, LTE/GTP, and GRE/ERSPAN tunneling
protocols to understand, generate, and optimize verification tests; 3) Demonstrated expertise utilizing Altera and Xilinx hardware
tools to understand, program, and debug FPGAsl and, 4)Demonstrated expertise designing and testing digital boards of
