Job Description Job Description Job Title: Facilities Technician Job Description Responsible for delivering effective, efficient, and timely delivery of services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory. You will be provided a company vehicle and tools, and will travel to a variety of customer sites to maintain commercial properties. Your role involves performing preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and general service of buildings, equipment, and grounds. You will engage in face-to-face interactions with customers to ensure quality workmanship and high work standards, maintaining a professional working environment. The role requires utilizing multiple trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC, and additional skills as needed to solve maintenance problems. Responsibilities Complete preventative maintenance and repairs per work order requirements. Perform minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems, including repairing and unclogging toilets, urinals, and maintaining valve assemblies and faucet fixtures. Conduct routine painting, carpentry work, and general maintenance to maintain facilities in like-new condition. Perform repairs and routine maintenance of walls, floors, doors, and any necessary painting and touch-up work. Conduct minor electrical maintenance as allowed within state law requirements, such as repairing or replacing fixtures, wall switches, and outlets. Complete service inspections and asset inspections as needed. Fully utilize technology such as tablets and smartphones to access and complete work orders, create and submit service reports, and manage timesheets and expense reports. Create a positive climate with clients and maintain timely and consistent communications with customers and internal support teams. Complete required safety and compliance training and attend weekly safety meetings. Essential Skills Proficiency in electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and painting. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards. Experience with HVAC systems and general maintenance tasks. Ability to utilize technology for work order management and reporting. Additional Skills & Qualifications OSHA 10 certification. Ability to perform tasks without direct supervision and in compliance with company procedures. Work Environment The role primarily involves maintaining daycare centers and retail stores within a 30-mile radius of Nashville. The standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Brentwood, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
