The Assistant Director of Building Operations will be responsible for the day to day building operations of the NEW Student Union Center working hand in hand with facility and students. What Are the Details*

Salary for this position is budgeted at $65,000-$67,000



Main Duties Responsibilities

* Directly supervises the Reservations Coordinator, Building Maintenance Supervisors, and student assistants by selecting, training, facilitating meetings, conducting performance evaluations, setting departmental goals, and monitoring and directing work flows

* Develops, administers and analyzes departmental budget, financial records and payroll processes. Develops administrative reports as needed

* Manages the overall custodial services of the building to ensure all areas are cleaned and maintained

* Develops and implements facility policies and procedures and interprets administrative policy for users of the facilities

* Handles the day-to-day operation of the Student Center facilities

* Ensures building security by overseeing opening and closing procedures, issuing and managing card key access

* Conducts a periodic walk-through of the building to ensure facility is in compliance with all mandatory federal, state and local regulations set forth by ADA, OSHA/Cal-OSHA, HAZ-MAT, Fire Codes, and safety program requirements. Processes work orders to ensure repairs are completed

* Manages the key areas of the IIPP including conducting injury investigations and restocking First-Aid kits as needed

* Administers all Service Desk operations including pricing research, determining quantity ordered, keeping logs for revenue and consignment sales, maintaining logs for Warrior ID Card and submit reports for credit

* Oversees the operations and management of the Game Room and Electronic Gaming.

* Performs Emergency Preparedness training sessions and exercises. Complies with Campus Emergency Evacuation procedures as Building Marshall ensuring complete evacuation of building and communicating with University Police

* Completes all necessary Assessment and Analysis processes to review return and increase facility usage and foot traffic into the building

* Interacts with vendors who rent space within the Student Center and addresses any concerns with campus departments as needed

* Serves as the Executive Director in his/her absence as delegated.

* Other duties as assigned

What Will Make You Successful*

* Bachelor s Degree in Business or related field.

* Masters Degree a plus

* Five years of full-time experience in facilities management.

* Demonstrated expertise with staff supervision, budget management, and training programs is necessary.

* Proven success in working with students, faculty, and staff, and reasonable experience and demonstrated capability in working with diverse student populations.

* Ability to respond to inquiries as well as explain, interpret, and apply a variety of policies and procedures.

* Advanced computer skills in MS Office.

* Highly effective communicator both written and verbal

* A roll up your sleeves attitude

* Passionate about teamwork and helping make a difference in the Warrior Nation
