positively affect children and families. Your Impact The Clinical
Head of Service is responsible for providing clinical leadership
for a youth, short-term integrated residential treatment program.
The CHOS oversees a team of clinicians who provide assessment,
diagnosis, treatment planning and therapy utilizing trauma
responsive and youth centric approach and oversees a team of
certified substance abuse disorders counselors who provide
substance abuse counseling and psycho-education to clients in
individual, group and family. The CHOS will provide regular
consultation and training to supervisors as well as to social
worker and direct care staff Your Skills and Duties Lead the
clinical staff as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Maintain a
safe, healthy, and therapeutic environment at the STRTP. Supervise,
develop, and drive clinical staff quality, compliance, and
productivity with: Screenings/assessments for substance abuse and
mental health disorders. Implementation of appropriate treatment
plans to meet the individual needs of the youth. Assessment and
tracking youths' Stages of Change Readiness and stages of recovery
with each condition. Providing substance abuse and recovery view
education to Clinicians, Social Workers, Care Coordinators and
certified substance use disorder counselors. Provision of trauma
responsive services and substance use disorder treatment services
using agency adopted evidence based practices including, but not
limited to: ARC, LSCI, and Motivational Interviewing. Provision of
trauma substance use disorder treatment using agency adopted
evidence based/promising practices including, but not limited to:
ARC, LSCI, Motivational Interviewing, Substance Use-Harm Reduction
and Stages of Change practices. Providing substance abuse
counseling, psycho-education to clients in individual, group and
family settings. Youth placement approval based on commonality of
need, including whether the youth's presence is adverse to the
safety or mental health needs of the youth or other youth. See that
youth client's mental health needs are met, including the
arrangement of ancillary services, provision of services with
disabilities, and transportation to access services when such
services cannot be provided by the STRTP. Review and approve
clinical notes and manage clinician and certified substance use
disorder counselors to productivity. Provide on-call emergency
consult in rotation with other senior management. Perform other
duties as assigned. Education and Work Experience Master's or
Doctorate in Social Work, or Psychology/Counseling or in a related
field and licensed with the Board of Behavioral Science (BBS),
LMFT, LPCC or Psychologist and qualified to provide Clinical
supervision to Master's level interns towards licensure. A minimum
of two years' experience providing SUD services and three years'
experience providing clinical services to youth with complex
trauma. A minimum of two years' experience in administrative
supervision or management Meets all state required conditions of
employment as set forth by funder and regulatory body; i.e.
Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index Clearance, TB/Health Physical,
valid CDL and clean driving record. Employment Type: Full Time
