qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Fremont, California, 94538! Pay
Information $3,045 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN (Registered
Nurse) Specialty: Client Child Health - Labor and Delivery
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: Required
Certifications: BLS ACLS NRP Must-Have: Experience with vaginal
exams Circulating C-sections AWHONN fetal monitoring Description:
This position requires a thorough profile review process with
clinical evaluation and candidate questionnaire. The unit has 18
LDRP beds and 2 OR suites for C-sections. There are 2 triage beds
and 18 LDRP plus 8 overflow postpartum beds. The unit experiences
100-140 births per month. Nurse-to-patient ratios follow AWHONN
guidelines for labor and state ratio 1:4 for postpartum. RNs are
required to titrate drips, including Pitocin and insulin. Although
charge nurses typically do not have assignments, adequate staff
support is provided. The unit includes surgical techs to assist
RNs. An OB is present 24/7, and a pediatric hospitalist is
available 24/7. A neonatologist is available during the day and
on-call at night. Anesthesia staff is on-site 24/7. Respiratory
therapy equipment, including vents and CPAP, is available.
Telemonitoring is centralized, and RNs are not required to read
strips. The EFM system utilized is Epic. Shifts are scheduled to
meet unit needs with no self-scheduling or block scheduling.
Weekend and holiday requirements will be planned as needed.
Floating to postpartum is included in the rotation. Staff will wear
hospital-provided scrubs. The charting system used is Epic Systems
