US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program. The
person in this position will represent International SOS Government
Medical Services, Inc. and provide services outlined below:
International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. is looking for
an individual who is an experienced Medical Supply Technician to
provide services for VA members and their families. A Medical
Supply Technician is responsible for managing and maintaining the
inventory of medical supplies and equipment in healthcare settings,
ensuring that items are properly sterilized, organized, and readily
available for use by medical staff. They play a critical role in
supporting patient care by making certain that the necessary
supplies are available and in compliance with safety and regulatory
standards. Key Responsibilities: Manage inventory of medical
supplies and equipment. Receive, inspect, and store incoming
supplies. Organize and maintain storage areas for easy access.
Restock supplies in patient care areas and departments. Prepare and
distribute medical supplies for procedures and surgeries. Track
usage and report shortages or discrepancies. Ensure compliance with
safety and sanitation regulations. Assist with equipment
maintenance and repairs. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for
orders and returns. Complete required organizational compliance
education, including assigned requirements that are
client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services
certification or other regulatory bodies. This list is
non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake
additional duties that are not specifically listed above.
Qualifications Basic Requirements/Certifications: Must possess
either a CRCST Certification or a CBSPD Certification. Must possess
experience with the following duties: Managing inventory: Pulling,
replenishing, monitoring stock levels (including expiration dates
and critical supplies), and conducting daily inventory using
barcoding. Distribution: Distributing supplies based on
requirements and delivering them in a timely and functional
condition. Customer interaction: Providing information to customers
and addressing any concerns. Preparation and cleaning: Preparing
specialty carts and cleaning assigned areas according to aseptic
principles. Receiving: Receiving supplies into the medical center.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Education Required: High
school diploma or equivalent. Physical Requirements: Work is
normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs. Other
Special Qualifications: Must be able to read, write, and speak
English to effectively communicate. US Citizen or Permanent
Resident Card is required. Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance.
Additional Information Pay range is based on several factors and
may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or
other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the
applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and
