OPPORTUNITY

The Executive & Internal Communications Manager partners with key stakeholders to design and implement communication programs that create clarity, confidence and connection to our strategy, and promote our reputation and brand. This individual contributor role reports to the Director of Executive & Internal Communications and owns the following areas:

* Manages internal annual programs and projects for Human Resources supporting 7,000 employees across California.

* Supports creative campaigns, including storytelling, to promote our Great Place to Work strategy.

* Drives communications in specialized areas across Human Resources including Diversity and Inclusion, Leadership and Development, Total Rewards, annual surveys, and others.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Partner with the Director and Senior Manager of HR Programs and Great Place to Work to develop and implement strategies, campaigns, and collateral.

* Develop comprehensive communication and change management strategies, and execute detailed plans in support of large-scale, company-wide transitions.

* Support both annual processes and strategic investment programs, such as Open Enrollment, Total Performance, rewards and recognition, technology implementations, and business transformation.

* Develop materials supporting internal and external visibility programs for executives, including speaking opportunities.

* Research, interview, write and publish executive blogs, news stories and executive presentations.

* Partner across business units and functions to develop campaigns and tell our story through various media, including video, podcast, social and events.

* Leverage latest innovations, best practices, technologies and feedback to continuously improve our communications approach.

* Mentor other team members to learn, grow and contribute to a high-performing team.

EXPERIENCE

The Manager will have a successful track record of designing, developing and successfully implementing employee engagement and executive communication programs using multiple platforms and media. The ideal candidate will have:

* Mission- and purpose-driven with a passion for innovation, challenging the status quo, and being a catalyst for positive change.

* A minimum of eight years of corporate, internal, and executive communications experience.

* Expertise in Human Resources areas, including Diversity and Inclusion, talent and leadership, learning and development, awards and recognition, and others.

* Outstanding copywriting skills with ability to capture the executives voice and elevate their content and presence, ability to simplify complex content and write in a clear, succinct, engaging format that adapts to different audiences.

* Solid organizational and project management skills with ability to develop and execute multiple end-to-end programs concurrently and with little oversight.

* Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and senior client relationship management experience.

* Executive presence, professionalism, and ability to influence and build partnerships at all levels.

* Demonstrated knowledge in managing organizational change, including culture shifts, technology transitions, office moves, and mergers and acquisitions.

* Solid team collaboration skills, initiative, and passion for coaching others and contributing to a high-performing team.

* Bachelors degree in communications, marketing, business or related field is required, masters degree preferred.
