Your Impact
The Lead Clinician/Head of Service is responsible for leading a cottage team in the Short-Term Therapeutic Residential Program (STRTP) on the development and implementation of youth treatment plans by working individually and with the team to develop and utilize effective interventions with each youth.
Your Skills and Duties


  • Oversees the treatment services for an assigned cottage.
  • Serves as lead treatment team member
  • Directs the clinical best practice of the treatment team based on assessments and treatment plans.
  • Models and supports evidence based/promising practice principles to support youth and build and maintain a treatment milieu which supports trauma resolution and clinical progress for the youth.
  • Provides behavioral health services including assessment, treatment planning, therapy, etc.
  • Develops and implements behavioral health treatment plans and interventions.
  • Provides on-call services on rotation.
  • Coordinates with referring agency, documentation and record maintenance.
  • Models, shadows and coaches treatment skills of treatment team members.
  • Conduct and participates in and program related trainings
  • Trains and builds the competencies of treatment team members.
  • Ensures program and practice compliance with agency, regulatory, compliance, and contractual standards.
  • Conducts and participates in supervision meetings, staff meetings, and special events.
  • Provides feedback and support with employee supervision and performance appraisals.
  • Provides on-call after business hour services including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Provides services within STRTP facilities, client homes, and communities.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

    Education and Work Experience

    • Master's degree or Doctorate as defined in the Health and Safety Code, Sections 1506 (e) (f)
    • Current Licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC with the Board of Behavioral Health (minimum of 2 years preferred).
    • A minimum of two years clinical experience working with youth with complex trauma, significant behavioral challenges and preferably with youth in foster care or group home.
    • Meets all state required conditions of employment as set forth by Community Care Licensing for a Licensed Community Care facility; i.e., Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health Physical, valid CDL and clean driving record.
    • Meets all compliance requirements of federal, state, and country regulations by periodic sanction checks.
