Job Description:

This position requires the sanitation of the food processing equipment, floors, walls, ceiling and related facilities to maintain the plant in accordance to food safety practices.


  • Clean and sanitize food processing equipment, floors, walls, ceilings, doors, curtains and related facilities.
  • Mix and use chemicals related to cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
  • Completes and maintains sanitation logs.
  • Must understand and adhere to HACCP processes, Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP's) and safety practices. Works under general supervision and work is spot-checked.
  • Operates sweepers, scrubbers, pressure washers and other janitorial type equipment.
  • Proceeds with duties by following several standardized procedures and may refer to Manager if problems arise.
  • Work consists of routine tasks requiring identification of problems.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
  • Responsible for upholding all Food Safety, Quality, & People Safety policies and regulations.
