Pay Range: $67,500-$79,500 per year--Purpose of Position:Arrange for the purchase and delivery of materials, equipment, services and supplies to support operations in the most cost effective manner.-- This is done consistent with company goals and specifications for quality and timeliness established by using departments.-- Provide administrative and technical support for the Purchasing group.-- Including: order placement, specification buying, supply continuity, communication to vendors, develop and issue Request for Proposals/Quotations (RFPs/RFQs), contract negotiations and contract creation. As necessary, act as a team lead for less experienced clerks (monitor work product quality control, provide training as necessary and make transactional work assignments, if requested).Essential Job Functions:Daily Buying Support for a mix of the following: Packaging, Ingredients, Energy, Commodities, Services, MRO and Capital.-- Will include managing purchase requisitions, creating & issuing purchase orders, order confirmation, invoice resolution support and maintaining Department records and documentation.-- Responsible for ensuring on-time delivery and adapting to new schedule requirements.--Act as a change-agent and operate independently with little direct supervision and have demonstrated ability to solve intermediate to complex problems by means of data analysis and critical thinking ------------------------Responsible for identifying and delivering cost reduction.-- Will develop and manage Requests for Proposal/Quote for various purchases, conduct bid analyses and draft contracts.-- Responsible for vendor selection, price determination, transportation optimization and other terms for materials/services purchases within assigned area.------------------Responsible for supporting new supplier qualifications, plus any transition of new/modified goods/services.-- Will be required to lead efforts to integrate new suppliers or supplier s products.--------------------------Perform independent research and data analysis with efficient and effective use of Excel, SAP, BW, Ariba and other databases which will aid in identifying opportunities and allow continuous improvement and cost reduction.--------------Will be required to review Purchase Orders written by others, validate and release.--Responsible for ensuring quality, food safety, safety, and supplier policies are adhered to for purchases made.-- Will be required to explain financial policies, procedures to internal customers in writing and verbally and support compliance with internal controls.------Requirements:Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration or related fieldMust have a minimum of two-three years experience in Sourcing/Procurement and have intermediate negotiation skills and solid knowledge of basic business laws and fundamentalsMust have strong analytical skills and demonstrated independent proficiency using SAP, Ariba, BW and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word), with an emphasis in Excel (including formulas and data management)Demonstrated, effective contracting experience (Must have cradle-to-grave process experience to include assisting the customer with the development of scope/specs, establishing project bidder s lists, developing RFPs/RFQs and required exhibits, bid analysis and/or proposal evaluation with recommendations, contract award and contract administration (invoices, change orders, performance dialogue with suppliers, etc)Excellent demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to interact successfully with multiple departments and with all levels of company managementMust have experience working in a role as a business resource for coworkers and customers in support of daily operations and continuous improvement efforts for both Department and External objectives.Demonstrated leadership abilities to include initiative, sound judgement, thorough analytical skills and ability to organize and manage multiple assignments in concertMust be able to handle and safeguard confidential information and have the desire to work in a fast-paced team environmentPreferred Requirements:Four years
experience in Sourcing, Engineering, or BusinessDemonstrated Project Management and Capital Experience6-sigma or Lean training desiredCPM or equivalent certificationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to sit for long periods of time--Consistent and reliable attendanceAbility to work in fast paced, high pressure situationsReliable transportation in order to attend off-site meetings
