Position description
The School of Natural Sciences anticipates hiring Readers for
Academic Year 2024-2025 for multiple subjects.
The Reader will be responsible for grading homework, quizzes and
tests as needed. The Reader will work closely with the instructor
and/or Teaching Assistants when grading. It is anticipated that
readers will work up to a maximum of 18 hours per week.
Interested applicants are required to submit a resume and a copy of
undergraduate transcripts.
The University of California Readers are represented by the

Qualifications
Basic qualifications
The Reader must be an active UC Merced student in good standing and
have successfully completed course or related course he/she is
appointed to as a reader with at least a B Grade. Readers should
have maintained at least a 3.0 grade-point average in their
previous academic work.
