Job Description:
DescriptionFrom your PASSION to oursThis person works closely
with quality assurance lead person and key processing personnel to
collect and analyze various kinds of samples throughout the
processing. From your EXPERTISE to ours Key responsibilities for
this position include but are not limited to: Collect raw,
in-process, and finished product samples from the various
locations. Participates in cleaning and sanitation verification
activities including equipment swabbing. Calibrate Lab / QC /
Process Control monitoring and measuring equipment. Perform
physical, visual, and organoleptic testing. Perform chemical
analyses. Perform microbiological analyses. Record all results in
the logbooks and communicate with production personnel to provide
real-time feedback. Maintain shelf-life samples and facilitate
product evaluations. Perform plant audits and inspections. Assure
personal and fellow worker safety. Maintain lab supplies. Follow
and improve lab / quality control policies and procedures. Assist
production personnel as requested to inspect / analyze materials.
Follow other instructions as directed by the supervisor. Candidate
must have the following attributes/skills; strong attention to
detail and accuracy, personal qualities of tact and dependability,
possess good manual dexterity, vision abilities (close, distance
color and ability to focus), able to push/pull/lift and carry at
least 30 pounds continuously and 50 pounds occasionally, be able to
stand for entire shift, be able to perform repetitive movements
(e.g. twisting, gripping, lifting, bending,
reaching).RequirementsRequirements:From your STORY to oursQualified
applicants will contribute the following: High School Diploma / GED
and 6 months to 1-year related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience. Reasoning
Ability: Ability to apply common sense and understanding to fulfill
instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to
deal with problems and interpret a variety of instructions
furnished in written, oral and diagram or schedule form. Language
Skills: Person must speak, read, and write English. English /
Spanish bilingual helpful. Must be able to read and comprehend
simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, and
effectively present information in one-on-one and small group
situations to employees of the company. Mathematics: Ability to
calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
Computer skills: Basic MS Word / Excel. Knowledge of personal
safety practices, common sense, and basic organizational
skills.Experience: Previous employment in a food industry setting
is preferred. A stable and dependable work
history.Skills/Abilities: Strong attention to detail. Manual
dexterity. Vision abilities (close, distance color and ability to
focus). Push/pull/lift and carry at least 30 pounds continuously
and 50 pounds occasionally, Stand for entire shift. Perform
